CHEPKITALE INDIGENOUS PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT PROJECT (CIPDP).
CIPDP was established in the year 2000 and registered in 2003. They are majorly involved in advocacy in line with land rights issues. Some of their achievements include supporting court cases that advance the course of the Ogiek of Mt. Elgon, construction of five primary schools, lobbying that has led to employment opportunities, starting a community radio and helping some children in the community get access to scholarships through Secondary Quality Improvement Project (SEQUIP). Their ongoing activities include spatial plan activities, mapping, ongoing court cases and history documentation.
